This NEW high quality economical carrier is ideal for transporting heavy equipment. You now have the ability to easily transport equipment or electric wheelchairs/scooters with a Sport Utility Vehicle, or any other vehicle that has a class 3 or class 4 trailer hitch.


What an extremely safe operation when loading onto this low to the ground carrier, as opposed to loading equipment into a high pick-up truck bed, or trying to wrestle the equipment into the back of a SUV (if there is room). With the built-in ramp the operation is fairly simple. The ramp is bolted on and lays in the carrier when not in use. When needed lift the lightweight ramp and deploy it to the ground as it pivots on two bolts. After loading the equipment raise the ramp to an upright position and then hold it in place with a provided hitch pin and already installed bracket. This durable aluminum cargo carrier will not rust or ever need painting.

Please note: anything that goes into a receiver hitch will have a little play. What you can do to eliminate the play is to tie down the equipment to the bumper on the inside (side closest to vehicle), and directly to the outside of the carrier at the opposite side (side furthest from the vehicle).

SC500-V3 Deluxe Power Scooter Hitch Mounted Medical and Wheelchair Rack is a quick, simple, safe, and affordable means for transporting scooters or wheelchairs. The surface is 46.5" long X 28" wide, providing enough space for most of today's mobility devices. 4.25" high side rails feature 10 different tie down points for securing the power wheelchair or scooter to the rack. Folds up when not in use, and with a 500 lb capacity, the SC500 can quickly attach to most 2" Class III or IV hitch receivers. Center of 5/8" hitch pin to carrier is 13-1/2" unfolded and 4-7/8" folded. The center of the 1/2" pinch bolt hole to carrier is 12-1/2" unfolded and 3-5/8" folded.

A great way of transporting scooters or powerchairs with a vehicle, the Rage Powersports SC500-AF is designed to safely hold up to 500 lbs. with a 2" Class III/IV hitch receiver. Mobility equipment is loaded into the carrier using an integrated folding ramp, and is secured to the frame's (4) 1"D Eyelet tie-down bolts. We recommend hook-end tie-down straps for securing equipment to the eyebolts. After loading, the ramp locks into place with spring pull pins. The surface of the loading ramp and carrier basket features 4" wide raised rungs with 1" spacing, allowing dirt and debris to filter through while maintaining great traction. Includes 5/8" hitch pin. Made with heavy duty aluminum construction, the support hitch tube is made of heavy duty steel and finished with a smooth gray powder-coat.
